My office is a pretty creative place—so when someone gets their hands on an unique book, we all eventually get to flip through the pages. One of our creative directors stumbled upon Paper + Craft a few weeks ago and couldn’t walk away from the possibility of 25 crafts all in one adorable book. By the time the paper crafting guide made its way to my desk, people were already buzzing about it—the cool and quirky ideas, how the book balances fun AND sophistication.
But, I must confess: On first glance I didn’t see the crafts, the font, the flawless styling. I saw the Boston terrier wearing a party hat and bandanna. And that was enough to convince me to lend my imagination to Paper + Craft. (If you’re curious, the pup is named Olive, is heart-meltingly cute and is featured after the jump.)

The book is the creation of Minhee & Truman Cho, owners of Paper + Cup Design (an upscale stationery and paper goods store in NYC/London/Paris). The pair’s aesthetic is streamlined, subtly vintage and extremely refreshing.
Projects in Paper + Craft span all skill levels, so you’ll almost certainly find something to make your own in this charming guide. Each chapter is laid out with simple sketches and easy to understand directions, pared down enough even for someone with little experience in paper crafting (ahem, like me).
Downloadable templates are provided for nearly every project, and the back pages of the book contain a glossary’s worth of descriptions and resources that can guide even the newest paper-crafter in the right direction.
I’m planning to give a couple of the projects in Paper + Craft a try in the coming weeks, so you may want to check back and see how they turn out! First on my list: The Bumblebee Pop-Up Card (maybe for Mother’s Day??).
